Senator Barak Obama is now the President-Elect.
I am still in Avondale, the streets are quiet, but I have heard a few people cheering and yelling in celebration.

Republican and Democratic voters gathered at the Brick Restaurant in Avondale to watch channel 4 and some of the “numbers” come in.
Some McCain supporters left a little disapointed with the numbers so far. Obama supporters are hopeful.

Presidential Numbers in Duval County

with one comment

The latest numbers show John McCain with a lead in Duval County, with 50% of the vote. Barack Obama is currently at 49%. That’s with at least 80% of precincts here reporting.

Is this a closer race than you thought it would be? If so, why? What other things have surprised you so far tonight?

We just heard more from where the Duval County Supervisor of Elections workers are counting the votes at the Gateway Mall location. According to the latest reports, Duval County has seen only a few minor issues and no complaints coming in. So far, about 80 percent of precincts in the county have reported.

For an added perspective, be sure to watch our election coverage throughout the night to hear from local analysts on both sides.

Last Voter Northside

without comments

With Polls closed   some people barely made it to  cast their vote.   One woman told me a train stop her  … She just made it …  Yet one young man   Jamarr Clark  didn’t..  He was  sad he didn’t get to vote but says he understands  he just didn’t make it in time…

Meanwhile they are awaiting results at Supervisor of Elections office … they should release early voting and absentee results at 8 Pm
