Lots of sign waving.

without comments

I drove through West Augustine yesterday. I like to explore my town. At the corner of Volusia and King there was a HUGE crowd of people waving Obama signs. They were so happy… i honked.. they waved and yelled. Love the patriotic spirit. As i drove farther down King St, i saw homemade signs too. It’s great to see people involved. It’s the one event which we all come together for a common purpose.. to participate in democracy and make a difference. No matter who you vote for, the better part is that you took a stand for what you believe in. And if you haven’t already, turn OFF the computer and get to the polls! They close at 7 in our part of Florida.

Ssshhh.. things are going well!

I just participated in a non-partisan conference call on voter problems.. they did not mention Duval, but the consensus across the state is that most of the problems are with long lines and optical scanners jamming. A lot of the optical scanner problems were operator error.. example – poll workers in Leon county actually FOLDING the ballots to get them through the scanner. So far, no major problems.
