Columbia County Voting

Just talked to my Mom, who lives in Lake City. She voted at the Pleasant Grove Methodist Church off SR-47. No lines, no problems. One elderly man needed help filling out the ballot, but that’s it!

I just voted at the Southeast Library off Southside Blvd. There were no lines and the workers were helpful. I was in and out within 30 minutes!

Election 2008

Expecting the highest voter turnout in decades -- perhaps 80 percent -- there will likely be confusion or frustration for first-time voters and those who haven’t voted recently, lines at the polls on Election Day and a late night as the returns come in.
