Supervisor Of Elections Jerry Holland tells me today’s early voting turnout was unreal. He says 11,970 people voted early today.

Expecting the highest voter turnout in decades -- perhaps 80 percent -- there will likely be confusion or frustration for first-time voters and those who haven’t voted recently, lines at the polls on Election Day and a late night as the returns come in.
