One vote for optical scanners
Despite problems with optical scan voting machines on Monday, one Jacksonville voter told the Associated Press he was more comfortable with this method than the punch cards used in 2000 that led to “butterfly ballots” and other issues.
“I have no fear of it happening again. Everybody is watching,” said Archie Gallon, 60, an instructor at Edward Waters College who voted Monday at the Duval County Supervisor of Elections Office.
